Stroke Prevention Day Today (29 January 2026) is Stroke Prevention Day 2026 and we're encouraging you to monitor your blood pressure. That's because high blood pressure is the biggest risk factor for stroke.

Many people look to Spoken for support after a stroke. We’re glad we can help, but we’d like to see more people avoid that outcome in the first place!

You can learn how to reduce your risk on the Stroke Association's website: www.stroke.org.uk/stroke-preve...

If the UK is to avoid a stroke every three and a half minutes by 2035, the public, the NHS and Government must embrace prevention.

For #StrokePreventionDay, check your blood pressure, share this message, and join us at #UKSF26 this December to be part of a forum for change.

Today is #strokepreventionday just in case you weren't aware.

#Stroke doesn't just affect older people, I was 37 when I had mine.

I also had a 9 month old daughter and a mortgage.

My stroke was caused by an undiagnosed heart condition.

These things can come out of nowhere.

Life-saving stroke treatment finally comes to Lancashire 24/7 A potentially life-saving stroke treatment will be available around the clock in Lancashire for the first time from next week, the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) can reveal.

The procedure has, until now, been on offer only during fixed hours amid difficulties in recruiting the staff needed to run it around the clock. #StrokePreventionDay www.lep.co.uk/health/life-...
