I recently posted about my first #SubwayBuilder build, which is for the DC region. This map, while built in Subway Builder is actually based on a map I created back in 2020 to imagine a DC where we put Metro in better places to start with and built more of it.
Let's take a look!

Subway builder showing the construction of an elevated metro line in downtown Manhattan. The line comes from the top, stops at station City Hall wiggles between most building but needs to destroy a small inexpensive building that's occupying a whole ass bloc, leaving it empty. It then keeps wiggling across a big square place surrounded by tall expensive towers with an odly shaped construction on the side. It then stops at a station named "WTC S"
Thanks to this park, I managed to thread a elevated line right in the heart of the job centers and barely destroy a single building.
I'm sure noone will mind, who doesn't love an elevated metro line in their neighborhood park ?

I think I just found a new time sink. I mean, I’ve made my own fictional subway maps before, and now to do it with actual population data? I can’t wait to try it out! #subwaybuilder

So, Subway Builder has completely eaten my weekend and free time. This game is crack for autistic transit nerds. Still in (somewhat buggy) beta, but worth it to support the final product.

I played #subwaybuilder for a good chunk of time last night. if the developer either brought on board a couple engineers OR opened the game up to modders for community development, these I think are the features and quality of life changes I’d like to see made
