One of the hardest things about mental illness is that people often applaud what they don’t understand. Symptoms can look impressive from the outside while someone is quietly falling apart.

What do you wish people would ask about when they see it?

"Lazy" is a word of negative judgment that we use to punish ourselves. But we are not lazy; we're exhausted. Fighting a battle against your brain is more tiring than most people can comprehend.

Stop beating yourself up for things that aren't your fault.

#Bipolar isn’t a "chemical imbalance." That myth oversimplifies & fuels stigma. Science shows real biological markers—from brain scans to genetics—that prove it’s a complex, medical illness. “You don’t look bipolar.”

That’s because #bipolar doesn’t have a look.

It lives behind smiles, silence, strength, and survival.

You can’t see the struggle—but it’s there.

Stop judging by appearances.

Start listening.

Rest isn’t idleness—it’s strategic maintenance for a bipolar brain. Trade the guilt for permission to pause and protect your mood stability.

How will you carve out time for real rest today?

It’s World Semicolon Day.

I attempted suicide. I didn’t think I’d make it. But I’m still here—and my story is still being written.

If you’re struggling, hold on. You are not alone. You are needed. You are loved.

People with bipolar disorder have personalities, but their illness is not their personality. We like, dislike, enjoy, and detest certain things, just like everyone else. Once you get to know us, you'll see that we exist outside the illness.

I know sometimes we can feel lesser than others because of such a devastating illness, but this just isn't true.

Remember, bipolar is an illness that you didn't ask for and don't deserve, but no illness makes a person lesser than anyone else.
