Illustration of a mutated body horror monster from the New Edge & Sorcery story The Red Road to Lost Amarkh. This terrible insane creature stands in the planetary water reservoir; with its many mouths vomiting parasites into the water that then is pumped into the channel network of Mars. The foul creatures is addressing the heroes with its many mouths that aren't busy spewing other filth. Standing behind it is the mighty pump station, built by the Deep Ones along with the polar cap facility that this place within. I decorated the diamond squares with various symbols of Mars, a Barsoom Easter egg and my signature snuck in there as well. Surrounding the horror is a unit of rovot bodyguards wielding energy spears brimming with power. They are based on the bipedal Martians, but also built by the Old Ones and given their signature of three eyes which are recurring in other things of their making, which can also be seen on the building exterior in my previous illustration. I choose to do the picture in a Dutch angle, and to have the water full of ripples and to have the air filled with an aura of spirals to create an aura of madness and delusion that this creature has brought to this world. Which I might have gone a bit hard on because I was having a lot of anxiety about a lot of stuff at the time when finishing up this painting. The illustration is made with traditional mediums. I used black ink, markers, white ink and white acrylics pens.

Illustration for the New Edge Sword and Sorcery story the Red Road to Lost Amarkh. It depicts the heroes of the story fighting their way to Amark; which is looming in the background; basking in the light of the moons of Mars. One of the heroes is a brave woman from Earth accompanying the brave Martian heroes who are representatives of a resistance movement against fighting for the fate of Mars and Earth. I left a big portion of the bottom of the picture blank to allow the title text to have plenty of room. I imagined that the triangular rocks in this frame for would represent the titular road; laid with less conventional looking bricks.

I tried to make it like a classic movie poster and I'm happy with the result.
