I systematically tested different frequencies (10 & 25 Hz) and intensities (3 & 5 mA) during 3 sec of short bursts of taVNS

Transcutaneous Auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation for Chronic Insomnia Disorder This randomized clinical trial investigates the efficacy and safety of transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) for chronic insomnia compared with sham taVNS among patients in China.

I went down one hell of a rabbit hole on this one. This study is from China, so take it with a grain of salt, but the evidence for #taVNS appears to be growing. It would be significantly less invasive than the the implanted cervical vagus stimulators. PS I love sham studies.
