I systematically tested different frequencies (10 & 25 Hz) and intensities (3 & 5 mA) during 3 sec of short bursts of taVNS
I went down one hell of a rabbit hole on this one. This study is from China, so take it with a grain of salt, but the evidence for #taVNS appears to be growing. It would be significantly less invasive than the the implanted cervical vagus stimulators. PS I love sham studies.
Check our last paper showing that transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) in a mouse model could transform ulcerative colitis (#UC) in future care! β
