Even the few baptisms that list her mother show Rodriguez but her as Reyes. She was legitimate and not previously married, so no idea why.

Finally broke through one of my Ancestry tree walls. For some reason, my 4th grt grandmother is del Rosario y Reyes but should be del Rosario y Rodriguez.

Boi in my tree is messy! Not 1, not 2, but THREE poss SS Apps & Claims. 1 & 2 had the correct parents; 2 used mom's second surname. 1 & 3 had the right birthdate. All 3 had different ss numbers. 🤦‍♀️

When a couple has a bunch of kids and the birth records only list one or the other parent, not both.

Going to have to use grandkids to verify both parents for these kids.
