Two green rosella's sitting in a bare branch of Tasmania's deciduos beech tree. The birds have yellowish green bellies and heads, scalloped green backs with blue patches on their wings, cheeks and tails, and a red patch above their beaks.
#Tasmania has its own endemic species of #parrot: the green rosella (however its scientific name is Platycercus caledonicus, due to a mix-up that led the European scientists who named it to think it came from the island of New Caledonia instead). 🦜🇦🇺

Taxonomy fail: yes, Diacamma ants (pictured) occur in Asia's tropical regions, but they are not related to Colobopsis exploding ants, apart of also happening to be ants.
