While #TBRuary is over, I'm gonna keep adding cool books I find.

Today I picked up Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.

This book is full of transcripts, redacted files, schematics, scribbled over pictures, white on back pages and some other cool ways to tell a story.

Gonna go with the book I was most recently reminded I wanted to re-read, "Jane Eyre." I seem to gravitate back to it every 10 years and that's long enough to forget good portions of it so I still get to be surprised. #tbruary

Honestly I've been really hankering to reread The Dark Tower series but I know it'd take a while. Maybe this summer. Quality beach literature right there.

#TBRuary finale. Old Favourite.

I have to, HAVE TO stop answering with HOUSE of Leaves, so instead I'll say I've been wanting to re-read a childhood favourite, Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede.

To me, it's the original cozy fantasy. If you have young girls in your life, get this book.

#TBRuary Day 28

The Demonata series was my first darker book I read as a young adult and I have never been so engrossed by the visuals this book paints and the raw emotions that are portrayed. I want to revisit this as an adult.

Day 28. A book that is an old favorite that is due for a reread.

Seekers by Erin.
Monster High: Ghoulfriends Forever.

Two series I absolutely love that I haven't read in a while.

Thanks Lizzie

I wouldn't mind re-reading LIFE OF PI at some point

Nearly read it in one sitting, I was that enthralled

When life ain't so turbulent, I'll see if I can do that one read through!

My #tbruary wrap-up! This made me realize I accidentally missed a few days... Oops. Oh well! This is a good number of books to read 😜

I haven't re-read Emily of New Moon by LM Montgomery in a while, and I even bought the whole trilogy fairly recently so I'd have my own copy! I just love LM Montgomery's writing and Emily is so relatable lol #tbruary

#TBRuary Day 28: Old Favourite.

JANE EYRE
by Charlotte Brontë

I reread this classic every few years because I always get something new from it.

I'm also trying to watch every adaptation or reimagining, so please share your favourite Jane Eyre adaptation in the comments! 😊

#TBRuary Wrap-up grid! covers of books mentioned in my #tbruary posts from this month. a few i've already read since or am digging into!

#TBRuary I did the grid! I went back and picked a different book by the same author for day 2 because my brain didn't click with the assignment (haha) and looked through other posts for a recommendation that sounded good for 21 that wasn't hte already mentioned murderbots. #booksky #Writesky

#TBRuary This book is the platonic ideal (for me, at least) of romantasy. The world building and storyline of both the romance and the fantasy are so good, but like peanut butter and chocolate, they each make the other better.

#TBRuary Tale of Two Cities - Charles Darwin

One of the few books I read in school that I want to revisit as an adult. But given the state of everything, I'm not sure I want to read it right now.

Hooray! Thanks for all these prompts! It was so fun!

For a reread, I’m going to go with The Spear Cuts Through Water by Simon Jimenez! It was a book that altered my brain chemistry when I first read it, so I definitely want to reread it! (again)

#TBRuary Day 28: Old Favorite

To Shape a Dragon’s Breath by Moniquill Blackgoose

This YA fantasy book isn’t old, but the way it’s written makes me feel like I’m reading a YA fantasy book from when I was a teen (in a good way)! Since book 2 just came out, a reread of book 1 is on the docket.

#TBRuary I don't do a lot of rereads, but I am very eager and excited to get back into some comics I love, including SAGA and REDLANDS. But the one I am looking forward to the most is THROUGH THE WOODS by E. M. Carroll. Their mini-comic HIS FACE ALL RED turned me on to horror all those years ago.

Shout out to @lizzieblackwood.bsky.social for hosting #TBRuary!

I've been meaning to re-read this series for a while now. It is so richly written, gorgeous, and (yes) utterly heartbreaking.

What other reason does a person need?

Urchin of the Riding Stars by M. I. McAllister. So many good memories, and a new addition to the series is a good reason to revisit the whole thing, right?

This has to be Ghost Story by Toby Litt. This book is heartbreaking but it's also so healing.

It's about post-partum depression after a stillbirth. It's about how depression destroys us and how we can move forward. Read it slowly, let it hurt and let it put you back together

Gotta be Coin Locker Babies

I've heard about it all my life and the premise sounds really interesting

Plus

It inspired the plot of Yakuza: Like a Dragon

#TBRuary Day 27: Fandoms/Praise.

I don’t pick books because they’ve won awards but I might learn about them through award nominations. That’s the case with

BAD GAYS: A HOMOSEXUAL HISTORY
by Huw Lemmey & Ben Miller

It had me at “LGBTQ history [via] villains & baddies”

I'll have to go with Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. Mostly for the sake of market research lol. I typically avoid trendy books but after all this time, I am a little curious to see why it's so popular. And dragons are cool #tbruary

#TBRuary I went on a couple of dates with a trans dude a while back, and he gushed about this book. Dude and I didn't pan out, but I did buy the book. The protagonist gets the supernatural ability to change their body to what it should be? Yes, please. Also: jealous.

No book to report because I don't choose reading material this way. 🤷‍♀️

Awards aren't impressive. Plenty of books out there have them, and they're no better (or end up much worse) than books without a seal on them.

I pick up a book because it sounds interesting.
