Set of 6 Japanese tea bowls (also called chawans) stacked on top of each other. They’re carved with various imagery of deep sea, ocean, land, mountains, sky and space as they stack up. The top and bottom bowls are glazed in a dark blue black, the next 2 working inward are glazed in a variegated blue purple, and the inner 2 are glazed in a breaking blue green.

Still not quite there with my glaze tests, but getting closer! Same base glaze, tweaked with and without colorants or titanium dioxide. With colorants, it’s too matte and has tiny flaws. With titanium dioxide, it’s almost too glossy.
On to the next round!
