Bit of a wild one from last night's gas firing. But it looks wood fired, right?

It's shino glaze on groggy black clay with wood ash sifted heavily over the top. The ash melts into a glaze at the very high temperatures.

Recent salt wood firing with Matthew Kelly and got this beautiful jug back from the kiln. The glazes melted nicely over the texture and the orange peel texture on the bare clay is nice.

Ash glazed cup, it has an uneven wobble because the glaze dripped all the way to the foot. The red flash comes from copper that was in a nearby pot and it jumped from one to the other.

Ash glaze bowl fired in a saggar box. The deep green comes from the iron found in the wood ash and the wild clay in the glaze recipe.
