The Wild Hunt by Franz von Stuck (1889) It depicts a man with dark hair riding a horse with either wolves or dogs surrounding him. In the background it appears that some sort of massacre has occurred. Impaled, nude human bodies can be seen and tormented faces.

This is probably the eeriest painting I will ever post.
