Overhead window view of some poor sod across the street clearing snow off their walk with a shovel. They're doing quite an efficient job of it. On either side, other neighbours have finished doing the same, neatly carved parallel channels with high mounds of snow in between. The cars parked on the driveways still have a metre of snow piled on top. The street running perpendicular is partially cleared, as in, ploughs must have run through the night, but there is now a layer of snow squashed by the local traffic covering the pavement underneath. The sidewalk on the closer side has been cleared by small city ploughs. Cars parked on the street are snowed in. The bare branches of trees make the scene picturesque.

Three storefronts, side by side, the two on the left part of one building, and the one on the right part of another. They are distinct, even though there is no gap between them. Above the stores, are two levels of apartment windows. Eight on one side, four on the other. Centred over the eight windows is a faux front with a pointed peak, and there is a line of miniature arches, like scalloping. The windows have limestone lintels. Centered over the four windows is a faux front with a curved peak. There are three limestone diamonds in a row, and the windows have limestone lintels, with heavy limestone blocks laid in an aesthetically mismatched manner around their frames, as if the building were older, and the red brick were part of a rebuild.
Some cool red-brown brickwork on the apartment half of storefronts on Danforth Avenue.
I don't know when these were built, my guess is early 1900s.
You can also see where smaller windows have been bricked over.

The streetcar, dark in color, is a single-deck vehicle with an elevated roofline and numerous windows in a row. The windows appear to look out onto the street.
