Today I played #TheZoneRPG by @raphdamico.bsky.social with @silliet.bsky.social @strangeworlder.bsky.social. We had a superb eve of co-creation, surreal events & a lot of Type 2 fun!

Also, the true horror were the dogs we made along the way.

Halfshot of Reese, just to get his mutations down. He has one dog ear, one dog eye, long canines on one side, a dog nose, and a tail.

Ref sheet I did of him before he got all of his mutations. These are the iconic ones, though. (Also showing off his necklaces, one cross necklace that he keeps tucked into his shirt, and his dog tags which he keeps on display.)

Character on the right belongs to roughly6500bees. Unforchies he's not on bsky but whatevs. Her name is Desmond, and she was an expedition partner of Reese's. Don't worry about what happens to her she's fine.

Reese's tail is WAY too high up on his back, and it causes a lot of back problems for the guy. He has both a regular human coccyx and his dog tail. I'm sure his skeleton would look pretty funky.

(One must imagine Thoryn getting more and more flustered as this conversation continues)

My first interpretation of Them, a figure with only half a face, while the whole of it is obscured by a blinding white. They have a black smile that lays over the glow, they're wearing a tie, and they have a landline that they use to communicate.

Them, looking at Him: Why do you look like that? Him, having taken a new physical form: New haircut? Them: YOU DON'T HAVE HAIR.

Had a blast playing #thezonerpg. A “surreal play to lose horror” rpg by Raph Damico.

A human version of Thoryn, weakly coughing and shaking while holding themself. Tears are streaming down their face. "I-I'm so sorry.. P-please..." Something unseen speaks up in an ethereal voice. "Don't apologize."

In a fish tank, before Thoryn, is a lone black squid with a singular blue eye. Its fins are damaged. "You..." Thoryn takes a step back. "Why don't you like me?"

I was playing The Zone with my friends and I could not get this moment out of my head (shoutout to @strawberrysmiles.bsky.social for the banger dialogue)
