I first saw #TheGoodies Punky Business when I was little, then on the early Network release. Since then I've seen Rock Follies & that Bill Grundy interview so I get far more of the references. The series can lead me down so many cultural tangents and is still funny. Jane Asher is great in this.

Last year I started a weekly #TheGoodies watch on its anniversary and last Friday I got to It Might As Well Be String. Still a standout of the 1976 shows with lots of very relevant side swipes at the advertising industry. It even has Valerie Leon recreating her Hai Karate advert.

Marking Tim Brooke-Taylor's birthdate I've just rewatched #TheGoodies The Movies.
The first half is brilliant commentary on then popular filmmakers and the second half is a stunning set of visual tricks/jokes all meticulously planned.
This wasn't a special, just a season opener!

I'm currently doing a weekly rewatch of #TheGoodies and this week I happen to reach The Movies which is as good an episode as you can get. I'll be thinking of Tim.
