I really enjoyed these low-budget movies #TheMoor, #Mudbrick, #TheOddity, and #Azrael. Now, I can't seem to find more of the same quality. I'm working on finding them, but I'm beginning to think they are not out there.

#TheMoor es como si un joven Oz Perkins dirigiera una mezcla de “El proyecto de la bruja de Blair” con el biopic de Fernando García, el padre del caso Alcàsser. Y funciona. Me he 💩 en varios momentos, sobre todo con la opening scene y el segundo acto (la sesión de espiritismo es tremenda).

#TheMoor apuesta por atmósferas cercanas a las historias de fantasmas de M.R. James adaptadas por Jonathan Miller o THE WOMAN IN BLACK, mientras se envuelve de una tristeza (y ocasional formato documental) similar al de LAKE MUNGO, rimando con propuestas más actuales como WITHOUT NAME o SHEPHERD.

En realidad, #TheMoor sigue una pauta clásica del cine de casas encantadas, usando el mismo tropo de la medium adolescente de THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE (1973), ahora aplicado a una escala topográfica en vez de doméstica, conectando también con ideas cósmicas del NIgel Kneale de THE STONE TAPE (1972).
