Seems like it was ~shudders~ 😆
#dplyr deserves its popularity (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️), and #tidyr is 🤌, but I still miss some of the array shaping efficiency in MATLAB.

There's a lot going on... so I am burying my head in data. Only, I'm not very fluent in #tidyR. What's your favorite intro to the Tidyverse for people who have some very basic proficiency in base R?

Impossible for me to use {tidyr}'s uncount() function without hearing Toni Braxton singing Un-Break My Heart.

If Saturday was the day when pivot_wider() *changed* my life, today is the day that pivot_longer() *saved* my life!

An extract from an R script that shows {tidyr}'s pivot_wider() function being used to create a crosstab.
One of those glorious moments when you suddenly realise the answer - pivot_wider() - has been hiding in plain sight - {tidyr} - all this time.

Cannot believe it's taken me until today to discover {tidyr}'s fill() function.
A punch the air moment.

Howdy #rstats and #pharmacometrics folks. I've recently updated the ruminate package. It's a shiny interface to common packages (#dplyr, #tidyr, #ggplot2, #PKNCA, etc) for PMx analyses:

Great new pivoting methods #pivot_wider and #pivot_longer are coming to #tidyr package!

But is it really wider? 😉

I just used group_by(), and am getting more excited about #tidyr by the day. It's so much more intuitive than aggregate() #tidyverse #dplyr
I just gather()ed something for the first time ever, and it was awesome #tidyr #awholenewworld
