The pond on Tooting Bec Common. Everyone calls it the Pond. It is, in fact, a lake, formed by gravel digging and landscaped in 1895. Anglers, mute swans, Egyptian geese, and a colony of invasive red-eared terrapins: abandoned pets that have made it their home.

A (Georgian? Honestly I'm having a hard time typing this house, but certainly there are Georgian elements sits fairly close to the street on a small lawn. Bare trees form a lacey pattern in front of it. On a branch sits a black bird perfectly framed in the semi-circular decoration over a second floor window. There is a patch of blue sky but mostly white and grey heavy clouds passing overhead.
I know this isn't #gothic #architecture, but that #crow (or #raven?) lined up in decoration of the lintel with the bare branches and looming gray #clouds ...
