A brittle prickly pear cactus (Opuntia fragilis) is staged in a handmade rust colored pot with broken white glazing. The lime green egg sized pads are in a row held up by two long, flat pieces of stone on either side.
Meet the Brittle Prickly Pear cactus. Despite its small size, it holds the record for the cactus growing at the northernmost latitude (56 degrees N) and can tolerate -30F. It even grows wild in a few Canadian provinces! #Opuntia #ToughPlant #Cactus #Succulents #GardeningFeed
