Overall, I feel like I'm in a good place heading into the final stretch. I definitely feel better without the pressure of SME number four, and after meeting with Ashley I think that I have no doubt that I can execute this the way that I want #towardthethirdvoice
The state of my video right now is definitely a work in progress. It's not perfect yet, but I think that the vision that I want it to be is becoming clearer as I work #towardthethirdvoice
Right now I'm looking at the sequence of shots that speed up. I'm trying to figure out the perfect Cadence for how fast these should go and what their purpose is. #towardthethirdvoice
Something that I'm noticing that I didn't exactly plan is how towards the end of my video my monologue about anxiety ends up accidentally complimenting everything going back into place #towardthethirdvoice
A small change that I made is to add a negative filter onto a quick 3-second clip throughout. This gives it a very glitchy and cool effect #towardthethirdvoice
Without my monologue, my visuals are telling their own story. It's pretty cool to see how the two of them interact . It was like context was given as soon as I added the audio to my existing video #towardthethirdvoice
I think that the flow of my video feels too easy or maybe even too predictable. I'm trying different ways and editing to make this not feel this way #towardthethirdvoice
My video right now, feels like a strict dissonance. I am working on finding where the two pieces, my audio and video will merge and create the third. I'm excited to see where it goes

Been in the midst of editing, and really am regretting using my phone for a chunk of the editing. I've been using cap cut, and I downloaded on my computer but having trouble adding all of my Clips in the same order that they were already in so it's easy for me to edit. #towardthethirdvoice

As I start writing , one of the 209'ers, Uday, commented that my SME felt a lot like getting ready to sit down and study/do work. I think that is an interesting direction to take this new visual track on, in addition to creating very favorable conditions for my third voice

I think about the emergent third voice now as I revise these two parts together, remembering to keep them contradictory and unreferenced to the other until that meeting comes about, in whatever form it does so.

The audio track is a separate issue. Revising the audio will be tough, I thought I had something pretty good on the first round. But on the bright side, I have almost 3 minutes of audio, I dont know why I thought I only had 1:30.

-as one of the primary limiting factors of my previous SME was that I created all the footage with what I had available in my room. I feel I could make something much more abstract and "uncomfortable" with other stuff to grab and draw upon.

That has led me to need to rebuild the visual track from the ground-up, at strong suggestion of ashley. My previous "lesson" the SME was teaching doesn't work well with alterations to what it is, i believe. I suspect that I will make more liberal use of outside footage-

When I did SME3, I mistook the directions: "at least 8-10 distinct shots" and "must include both still and moving images even if you decide..." to mean that images were much more importantly "weighted", which is opposite of what it seems everyone else took for direction

As I find myself with the time to begin work on The Final Voice (Thanks again Ashley for the extension,) I have gone to revisit all my past work, the submission comments on that work, and any announcements about the projects
#towardthethirdvoice and I will say, capcut on the phone was NOT a wise choice, as its super annoying (and tricky) editing my audio without visuals (plan to record more tomorrow hopefully!) … but we must push through😎
Oh and I’ve never hated an app like garage band #towardthethirdvoice I even tried messing with it outside of the project but I feel like it’s bc I’m so type A that I can’t get down and jiggy with it

#towardthethirdvoice I never knew there was different type of food coloring either… and at first I was bummed about only having the gel kind but after messing around with it, I think it’s so much more interesting… the colors clumps up, not moving…very much stubborn which we all feel at times

After seeing everyone’s creativity, I have never held more like a dud. I hate everything I created in my SME… #towardthethirdvoice you guys made it look so easy when I knew I struggled hard so. I’m redoing the whole thing with the same kind of concepts
I'm listening back to my past SME No. 2, I realize I’m not really satisfied with the current work. I might re-record the entire audio and refine the background sounds to better match the vibe I’m aiming for.

I realize that the still image I’m using isn’t being used effectively. It doesn’t really contribute to the main purpose. I think I should make some changes to make it more meaningful.
