THE ERASURE & CRIMINALIZATION OF A BODY THE RAINBOW PRIDE FLAG NO LONGER WAVES. IN SOME CITIES, RAINBOW CROSSWALKS ARE BEING TORN APART. THEY ARE MAD AT COLORFUL SIDEWALK CHALK. THEY ARE MAD AT COLOR ON THE GROUND. WHY ARE THEY SO SCARED OF A RAINBOW FLAG? IT IS JUST VIBRANT COLORS SYMBOLIZING THAT WE. ARE. HERE. WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HERE & WE’RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE. YOU CANNOT ERADICATE US THE PRIDE FLAG IS NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT. IT’S HERITAGE, IT’S WELCOME. IT’S SAFETY. & WE WILL CONTINUE TO CELEBRATE THE VIBRANCY OF OUR LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY. YOU ARE WELCOME. YOU BELONG HERE. ON TDOV, ONE OF THE STRICTEST ANTI-TRANS BATHROOM LAWS WAS PUT INTO PLACE. IT CRIMINALIZES ANY PERSON WHO “KNOWINGLY & WILLFULLY.” ENTERS A BATHROOM, LOCKER ROOM OR A CHANGING ROOM THAT DOES NOT ALIGN WITH THEIR SEX ASSIGNED AT BIRTH. WHICH IS A STUPID FUCKING TITLE. WHY CAN’T WE JUST DEFAULT TO ANDROGYNOUS UNTIL WE ARE OLD ENOUGH TO DECIDE WHAT WE WANT TO BE? I WAS NEVER GIVEN A CHOICE AS A KID. I WAS JUST FORCED TO BE A SMALL BOY. FIRST OFFENSE: ONE YEAR IN JAIL SECOND OFFENSE: 5 YEARS IN PRISON. THEY CLAIM TO PROTECT WOMEN & CHILDREN. BUT TRANS WOMEN ARE WOMEN, & WE ARE BEING ERADICATED FROM MODERN DAY SOCIETY JUST BECAUSE WE NEED TO GO TO THE BATHROOM. HB752 MAKES IT A CRIME TO BE TRANS IN PUBLIC. IT IS NOT ABOUT OUR SAFETY ANYMORE. IT’S ABOUT USING THE POWER OF THE GOVERNMENT TO TARGET, INTIMIDATE, & ERASE AN ALREADY VULNERABLE COMMUNITY. IN THE TIMES WE LIVE IN WE NEED MORE COLOR.
