This week we submitted recommendations to the state for moving to the #truecostofcare payment structure to receive the fair pay we deserve.
Providers like union sister Sylvia are being forced to cut operating hours or close their doors altogether due to low wages! Until California pays providers the #truecostofcare, families will continue to lose access to affordable child care during their working hours.
Through our collective power child care providers have made enormous progress in winning respect for our profession, but the fight goes on until we are paid the #truecostofcare!
This agreement delivers urgent stabilization pay, ongoing cost of living adjustments, protects our benefits, ensures a timeline for the #truecostofcare, and more.
