A shot of the plaque marking the spot of London's infamous execution site at Tyburn. Now part of a traffic island close to Marble Arch, the site is also marked by three young oak trees around the plaque. In the centre of a plaque is a cross (an x, rather than a Christian cross) and the words 'The site of thr Tyburn tree'.
Wandering in #London for a few hours, so what better way to pass the time by finding the former execution site at #Tyburn. Catherine Howard's lovers Dereham and Culpeper died here in Dec 1541. The plaque is surrounded by 3 young oak trees.

A red brick archway has set into it a stone plaque reading "For the good of the public this fountain is erected near the site of an ancient conduit known as the shepherd's well"
A cobbled (setts) street has an area a few bricks down the length of it that has clearly been disturbed seperately to the rest.
A tarmacked roadway has a darker area through it where more recent work has been done. Either side of it are white lines and next to them question marks.
A wide area of water passing by an archway below a house, which has stairs down towards the water.
#Tyburn - another #hiddenRiver, not as wide as the Fleet, but as full with history. From the Shepherd's well, to several exits into the #Thames, you leave your mark on #London's streets (and confuse diggers!) (7/35)
