My plans for a walk today are being shelved, there's a high pollen count and it's pretty windy out there, both which can set off my asthma.
In the past 3 days I've put in more than 31,000 steps. That's 13 and a half miles!
I guess today is a yoga day!

A screenshot of the pedometer app that shows that I walked 13,928 steps. That's 5.93 MI, in 2 hours and 17 minutes where I burned 526 calories.
I walked in a circle. An almost six mile circle, but a circle. The last mile was super slow because my ankle hurts. My stops included Costco, the bank, I walked past the middle school where I work, and then I went all the way to the middle school that my kids attended. #walking #type2diabetic
A picture showing the steep incline of an overpass over railroad tracks. I was pulling a wagon uphill while returning home from a shopping trip at Costco.
A light tan Sherpani water bottle carrier. The carrier conveniently has a pocket that's big enough to hold a wallet, making it convenient for in town walking.
A screenshot of a pedometer app that shows I walked 9,332 steps, just shy of four miles on my walk to and from Costco. The app claims that I burned 342 calories.
Utilizing my new water bottle carrier from Christmas, that conveniently holds my wallet so I don't have to bring my purse, I went to Costco hauling a wagon so I could buy cat food. The hardest part was pulling the wagon on the overpass.
I'm just shy of four miles. #sherpani #type2diabetic #walking
A screenshot of a pedometer app that shows that I walked 11,780 steps today, that's just over 5 mi.
Today was busy, lots of steps at work today. #type2diabetic
A screenshot of a pedometer app showing that I walk a total of 9,617 steps today which equals a little over for miles.
Have you ever had one of those days? we'll look at that, four miles down and that was just doing my job and a quick run into the store after work.

I've been using the Hinge app to target aching joints and weak ankles. It's only been a week but I have to say I'm impressed. I don't know the cost, because it's free through my husband's work (I assume it's a perk of his insurance, to try to cut down on costs later on.)

A large bag of dark chocolate truffles.
My husband's worried about my eating and my consumption of sugar, so he bought me sugar... ๐คท
In all seriousness, dark chocolate is typically a more diabetic friendly treat than other forms of sugar and its decadent enough one or two should suffice. #type2diabetic

I used a personal day to take the day off, meaning I can do whatever I want today. I decided to walk to the bank and then walk to the grocery store to buy a Dr Pepper zero.

I've started a wall Pilates program from my yoga app. It's 20 minutes a day for 30 days, and I can feel it, and it's only day two. #healthcare #type2diabetic

A woman shows her eye dilation from her ophthalmologist appointment.
Look at those pupils, no wonder I have a headache. Also, I'm really rocking the yellow dye used for contrast in the corner of my eyes there. #ophthalmologist #type2diabetic #eyecare
Keeping it real...
A screenshot of a pedometer app that shows that I walked $12,155 steps which is a little over 5 MI it took me about 2 hours to do.
I really wasn't shooting for 12,000 but, look what I did. ๐ #healthcare #selfcare #type2diabetic
A selfie of a woman taking a walk, she is wearing a ball cap with a moose on it that says vermont. Her glasses have darkened because it is bright out and she's wearing a green sweatshirt.
If global warming is going to make it so that there's no snow in Southeastern Idaho, then I'm going to go for walks while I'm on winter break from middle school. #selfcare #healthcare #type2diabetic
A screenshot of my pedometer app showing that I walked 6,288 steps, which is a little over two and two thirds of a mile.
Done with my walk. #healthcare #type2diabetic

It's been over two and a half weeks since my rib injury. I am braving a walk further than I've gone since my accident. The first quarter mile I was feeling quite a bit of rib discomfort, but I walked through it and I'm feeling much better. I'm still a lot slower than before I fell. #type2diabetic
I keep hoping a high protein oatmeal with flax would work for me. Starting blood sugar 107, I spiked at 210.
Well that's a definitive hell to the no.

I went for a walk, and it was amazing. Had a lovely talk with @themoosh2025.bsky.social on the latter half. It made the walk go quicker!

I decided I should do something productive on my day off and that I should go to the pharmacy. Go? Sorry I mean I should walk to the pharmacy. I just got home. , I really struggled those last 1,000 steps.๐
I voted on the way. ๐

I have only been able to meditate this past week, due to being sick. So today I just spent 27 minutes working on some yoga that concentrated on spinal health and flexibility, and flexibility in my hips. It was lovely.

I have not really eaten potatoes in a year, I've stolen a few fries from my husband but haven't really eaten them. I'm going to trial a small baked potato with a lean protein and broccoli see what it does to my blood sugar. I'm starting with a blood sugar 155, we'll see.

Happy 4th diaversary of me being Type 2 Diabetic.
I am still trying to get prescription glasses and etc, but hey, I am still here on earth!
I think I was diagnosed in 2021.

I was going to go for a huge walk, but I'm calling uncle because my ankle hurts. It's not selfcare if I cripple myself. I'm parked on a piece of grass at a local church house waiting for my husband to pick me up.
However at a crosswalk I saw this really cool rock. #selfcare #type2diabetic

On a very personal note, I just bought a pair of jeans that's in a size that I haven't worn in 10 years.
While my weight loss has stalled for the past 4 months, yoga continues to reshape my body in the best possible way.

Being #Type2Diabetic is so inconvenient lol. I had some nice lemon chicken for dinner with a potato and a veggie salad and had a few grapes after. My body said you had Potato? You had high carb veggies? you had GRAPES? and begins to shut down and I get lethargic and it's so rude.
I hadn't taken my blood sugar in a while, I was told I only needed to do spot checks. Did My fasting and my glucose level was 119.
A perfectly acceptable fasting level for a type 2 diabetic. Yay. I'd like it lower overall but it could be a lot worse.

A screenshot from a yoga app showing that I did two yoga sessions one titled energy restore Yin Yoga flow, and the other for my personal yoga plan which is a weight loss routine.
Taking advantage of one of my last mornings off before work starts on Thursday, I did almost an hour of yoga. Two different sessions one focused on weight loss and one yin Yoga flow. 54 minutes, and I can feel it!

Ugh, I'm now being bombarded with Monjaro ads no matter where I go.
Thankfully so far my diabetes is being managed diet, exercise and Metformin. No need to go to the heavyweight meds if it's not needed.
