I enjoy carving birds, though they are a bit more impressionistic than realistic. This piece only required two tools, a gauge and a rasp. Made from English Elm from a branch that came down in a wind storm in a park.

The arms of my drill press frequently get i. the way, so I made some new ones from stainless bolts and some scraps of wood that I turned into handles.
