My inspiration for this piece was Andy Warhol being shot by a "radical feminist" named Valerie Solanas.
Valerie was not only toted as being responsible for initiating the radical feminist movement, but also a contradictive woman who was described as a loner, a rebel and a sexual ambiguity.
Not only was she a feminist but she was an artist in her own right. She has been described as pushing the avant garde movement into new directions. Shooting Warhol in itself was seen to call "attention to basic feminine experiences that were publically [sic] taboo and tacitly elided within avant-garde circles" by James Harding (notably a man).
