silver garden orbweaver (Argiope argentata) A young spider sits in the middle of a web surrounded by wavy concentric circles of silk. The spider is holding its legs in an X formation, sitting head down, and has a silvery sheen on much of the body, except areas with golden orange markings.
soapberry scentless plant bug (Rhopalidae: Jadera cf. sanguinolenta) A bug sits on a bed of small light green succulent leaves. The bug is somewhat elongate with a red head and thorax, and bright red scutellum (triangle between wings). The rest of the body, legs, and antennae are a dull dark brownish gray. The body is covered in small rough warts.
ivory patterned cockroach (Pseudophyllodromiidae: Euthlastoblatta facies) A pale ivory cockroach sits on a tan dead leaf. The cockroach has dark markings outlining the thorax and curving down the wings. It has pale spiky legs.
