Amidst some rather thick and Tangled bakey stems, a pale green gourd that looks like some sort of alien egg sac, with a bulbous bottom half and what look like fingers holding on to it from the top.

I figured out what the volunteer gourd vine in the back yard is!

Snapdragons, so many pink/orange/yellow snapdragons, with some hostas and budding sword lilies, four towering sprigs of mint, yard trash in the foreground, and my partner's container garden in the background

More snapdragons SO MANY SNAPDRAGONS (mostly pink and yellow on this side of the porch) all hanging out looking pretty under the banana trees

This wee seedlings has pushed up on the edge of the compost heap. Once it's bigger I'll transplant it. It looks like melon or pumpkin. please don't be a loofah.
