Rows of onion sets, before burying them. They are in a high raised bed for accessible gardening.

Potted chives, turned out of the pit. They are root bound. I divided them. Most lost all but about 4" of roots. Then I planted in rows in the garden.

Onion raised bed, covered in tree leaves that saved last fall. the leaves will prevent most weeds, keep the soil more moist, and moderate soil temperature. It may be a hot, dry summer, so the leaves might be especially needed this year.

I planted the rest of the yellow & white onion sets. I divided a potted chive clump, replanted in rows

I just made 4 jars of spaghetti sauce with 1 by adding in tomato paste, water, peppers, onions, garlic, and tomatoes.

Now my stuff won't go bad, I don't have to prep veggies to go in the pasta, and I have a months worth of sauce.

Planting a chocolate cherry sunflower forest around my patio today. Theyre beautiful and at 7 or 8 ft tall they make great shade. They attract birds and bees. I try to keep my outdoor spaces natural. I even have a water feature. The HOA hates me but fuck em I love my birds & bees 🐝

5 days after planting, all cucumbers have emerged and put on height, all melons and squashes have emerged, as well as basil and a few tomatoes.

6 days after planting seeds. Cucumbers are going gangbusters, all melons and squashed have emerged and continue to grow, tomatoes have begun to emerge, as well as basil and cilantro. The pumpkins are juuust starting to push the soil up.
