I tested the model in Warudo for animation checks.
Since this was exported as VRM, it’s using the MToon shader.
If it already looks this good with MToon, it should look even better with lilToon, right?Warudo is amazing.

I added cloth and hair movement using VRMSpringBoneTool. The results looked pretty good, but the front part of the robe was clipping, so I fixed it by adjusting the bone setup in Blender and tweaking the HitRadius values in Unity.

It’s my first time setting up cloth physics in Unity, but… hmm, the robe feels like it’s made of super lightweight fabric.
But when the cape in the back settles back into place, it actually looks kinda nice.

I’d kept the model in an A-pose, but T-pose works better for Unity, so I switched it using the free Blender add-on ‘Pose to Rest Pose.’
Didn’t know you could fix it without remodeling.

Male wizard VR model progress
Finished most of the shading work in Unity.
Shader: LiltoonShader.
Compared to the shots from Blender, the colors look more manga-like — I’m really happy with how it turned out.

I created the hair texture once using Substance 3D Painter, but later repainted it by hand.
I might also make some further adjustments to the rigging on the arms and legs.

Progress on the male wizard VR model:
Ran into an issue in Substance 3D Painter where the Ambient Occlusion texture was rendering completely black.
Turns out it was a bug caused by the NVIDIA driver, but updating to the latest version fixed it.

I finally managed to install Unity on my PC and got to the point where I can load the model.
It looks like I’ll be able to start adding colors soon.
I'm also working on modeling the Magic Rod.

Tried rigging the model, but ran into a bone heat weight error and couldn’t apply automatic weights.
In the end, I fixed it by setting the vertex merge distance to 0.0002 — it took a while to figure out!

Progress on the male wizard VR model:
After adding wrinkles to the robe and sleeves, the model ended up with 210,000 polygons.
I managed to reduce it to less than half by doing some retopology and using a decimate modifier.
