Bridge du Jour: Green River Covered Bridge in Guilford. It was once the home of quite a number of local mailboxes. This bridge was rehabilitated in 2014. Just upstream is the historic Green River Timber Crib Dam.

Bridge du Jour: the Scott Covered Bridge. This bridge has a combination of king post and plank-lattice trusses. It was most recently renovated in 2016-2017. These days, the bridge handles only pedestrian traffic.

Bridge du Jour: West Dummerston CB in W. Dummerston. One of the longest bridges in the state. It was totally renovated in 1998 and repaired in 2009. It was damaged by TS Irene in 2011 and again by a truck in 2017.

Bridge Du Jour: Robbins Nest CB in Barre. This is a private bridge and was built as a replica of the Old Bridge (VT/45-12-77x), which once stood about 100 yards downstream and was destroyed in the flood of November 4, 1927.

Bridge Du Jour: Station CB in Northfield. Unlike the Upper and Lower Cox Brook CBs, it uses a town lattice truss and crosses the Dog River. Like the Upper and Lower Cox Brook CB, it was built in 1872 and is painted red.

Bridge Du Jour: Coburn CB in East Montpelier. Some say this bridge was built in 1852. We do know the original deck was replaced in 1972 with a concrete slab. Today, the truss only supports itself.

Bridge Du Jour: Martin CB in Marshfield. AKA the Orton Farm Bridge, this little queen poster measures 44 feet.
It was restored and returned to the Winooski River in 2009. The bridge is now part of Martin Bridge Park.

The bridge was damaged in the summer of 2005 when an oversized truck tried to go through it. It was closed, and repairs took six months to complete.
