Lovely experience at #VUMC emergency department. When someone comes in who's injured and in pain (but properly triaged as not needing immediate treatment), their spouse can't wait with them, while they're waiting (for more than an hour) to be treated.

Image from the @tntranstaskforce Instagram link, saying: "News Alert: On Tuesday, June 24, the Vanderbilt Program for LGBTQ Health staff, which supported connecting LGBTQ people to care, was all let go of their jobs effective immediately. This layoff has impacted at least four community members so far, so the programs and education they were doing have stopped with their layoff. One of the most significant programs is the Trans Buddy program, which connects transgender people with volunteers to support them in Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) doctors' appointments."
