In return for his guilty plea, the state's murder charges were dropped. So, even though there is video clearly showing Slager shooting a Black American man in the back, the lying, racist piece of shit has never been convicted of murder.

The video contradicted Slager's report of the incident. In June of 2015, a South Carolina grand jury indicted Slager for murder. He was released on bond in January of 2016. In late 2016, a five-week trial ended in a mistrial due to a hung jury. Because #WalterScott was Black and the cop wasn't.
