A lovely walk in the snow #warleywoods

Kinda reminiscent of my daily walk in #WarleyWoods

A small pale mushroom covered in dark bristly hairs (setae), the stem (stipe) is ombre pink/red at the base to match the off-white colour on the cap.

Holly Parachute (Marasmius hudsonii)
This tiny mushroom grows exclusively on decomposing Holly (Ilex) leaves. The cap measures a mere 3mm, which may be why this widespread fungus is under-recorded #mycology #wildlife #urbanconservation #mushroom #photography #macro #warleywoods #birmingham
