this is an extreme close-up, not quite a macro, of a passion flower. If this were a Friday night bar in the world of the birds and the bees, this is how the place would look to the bees when they have had just a little too much nectar. The passion flower really puts it all into attracting insects with the boldest possible pistils, and stamens.

this is how the pollination world would look without the distraction of colour. It is just about as “sexy” as it could possibly be.
