I had a fantastic time, for the second year running, at #WeHaveWaysFest - a must for living history/World War 2 enthusiasts. 4G reception was bad; being without internet for 3 days liberating. Bloody cold at night in a tent though.

A profound moment when a chap produces a ‘hinomaru’ flag taken by his father in Burma. We shouldn’t need a reminder of the horrors of war, but the obvious and copious dried blood stains on the flag were a tangible ‘take your breath away’ moment. #wehavewaysfest #wehaveways @almurray.bsky.social

It took 2 weeks to come down from the high of #wehavewaysfest (a WW2/living history fest). After leaving I was so determined to stay in the 1940s, I drove over to #bletchleypark and spent 4 hours with the coders.
