Three silver torch cactus (Cleistocactus strausii) in a rock garden surrounded by other succulents. They are whitish yellow and have dense but short white spines. The tallest one is growing red flower buds near the top. One young flower is pointing straight out from the side at a 90° angle.

A couple of my young silver torch cactus are growing their first flowers. These cactus have really unique blooms which are usually bright red and funnel shaped.

It looks like an alien egg hatching in front of me, but this dark maroon red color flower tries to mimic rotten meat. Here is a stinky flower ( Amorphophallus paeoniifolius ).
