Picked up an adult "white winged gull" at a distance flying in to Crosby Marine Park, Merseyside, this pm. It landed briefly before being flushed by a dog. I was rather crestfallen to see that it was actually a Herring Gull with white primaries @birdguides.bsky.social #gulls #whitewingers
