A female widow skimmer dragonfly hanging onto a blade of grass. The dragonfly has its wings spread wide and is facing upwards. Its body is mostly black. It has a gold stripe down its thorax, which breaks into two gold stripes along its side with black between them. The wings have dark black patches next to the body, then they are clear with veining showing, and at the outer upper edges a black spot on each of the four wings. The background is all green grasses.
