We had a fantastic time at #WildSummitUK last year and we're excited to be heading back over to @bristolbeacon.bsky.social on 9 September!

We'll be joining other eNGO's, nature groups and policymakers, all united by a shared ambition of halting nature decline by 2030.

2 weeks on from #WildSummitUK, we're reflecting on the outcomes of the event

At a time when many politicians push a narrative that people are losing appetite for environmental action, the Summit showed how much a falsehood this is 🌱

It was great to be part of #WildSummitUK last week. An opportunity to explore collaborative long term sustainable solutions based on evidence in order to address natures decline. "We need to work with nature, not against it" - Sir David Attenborough

Inspiring individuals & organisations putting nature front & centre, which of course includes healthy rivers.
Excellent panel discussions on the actions, investment & partnerships needed to restore our natural world for wildlife, communities and the economy.

An inspiring day celebrating nature with plenty of discussions on the actions, investment and partnerships needed to restore our natural world.
We all need nature, with clean, flowing rivers being key.

When asked what they would implement as a government minister, @kitstoner.bsky.social suggested legislation that would mean all present and future policy would be evidence based. She would also scrap part 3 of the Planning and Infrastructure Bill. #WildSummitUK

Mya-rose Craig states that environmental protection needs to be embedded in the same way Health & Safety regulations are. There is a cost associated with both but the benefits outweigh the costs - for individuals, families, communities, nation and the economy #WildSummitUK

Good to hear @tonyjuniper.bsky.social point out that the negative rhetoric has picked on more misunderstood species rather than "cute" species. "Bats are adorable" says Mya-Rose Craig. Eroding protection for one group of species, erodes protection for all even the "cute" ones. #WildSummitUK
