10/10 Finish control at the Holly Bush Inn and arrived at 18:35 after a latish start of 8:10.
My fastest 100km is under 8 hrs but given the extra 20km, climbing and extra stops, I'll happily except 10 hr 30 min 👍

9/10 Joined the Two Tunnels cycle route at Midford and caught the sunset just as I was crossing the river Avon in Bath, then it was back up the railway path to Warmley as the daylight faded 🌅🚴‍♂️ #cycling #audax #willshills

8/10 a different diversion, this time to avoid a gravelly section of railway path, brought me to Norton St Philip. A place I've only ever previously seen at night on the Exmouth Exodus & final stop before for a little pick-me-up 😋 ##cycling #audax #willshills

7/10 now I will confess I missed the trip through Longleat and made haste to Frome on the main road to catch up, but as I'd already gained 5km I felt less guilty. However, the climbing back over the Mendips was unavoidable #cycling #audax #willshills

6/10 I missed the view of Glastonbury Tor with my last hill diversion but Alfred's Tower couldn't be missed and nor the climb to the 2nd control in Maiden Bradley 😳 #IYKYK #cycling #audax #willshills

5/10 Pilton Hill was one that was simply swapping one hill for another, Pilton co-op was the first control. Pyle church was the biggest hill diversion that added an extra 5km but was a much faster route & Greggs in Bruton served as a quick 1pm lunch stop 🍕🍩😋 #cycling #audax #willshills

4/10 when I signed up it was a last minute booking last week, I didn't study the map in detail. Climbing out of Keynsham my garmin alerted me to the fact I was on climb 1 of 20 😳 so a snakier route south was done to miss a few out #cycling #audax #willshills
