What a great use for old or data-damaged CDs and DVDs: same worked into a recycled bike wheel rim, to which wind-catching vanes were added. Result: an eye-catching artistic windmill.

This one graced the beer garden patio at the microbrewery on Nantucket Island in April 2015.

My neighbor's weather station says the wind part of the storm arrived about 6 AM with a 25 MPH gust. The snow part just started about 1/2 an hour ago with itsy bitsy flake and now everything is white.
I plan to stay home and work on a quilt today!
