A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for northern Aitkin, Ashland, Bayfield, Carlton, Cook, Douglas, Gogebic, Iron, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, Ontonagon, and St. Louis counties until noon Thursday, February 19, 2026 (Central Standard Time).  Additional snowfall totals in the advisory area will range from 1 to 2 inches for most locations, with 2 to 6 inches possible in the North Shore and Arrowhead regions.  Minor ice accumulation is also possible.  Wind gusts up to 45 mph are also possible, especially along the North Shore.

Lake effect snow showers will lead to new snowfall accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.  Strong winds coming off Lake Superior will lead to blowing, drifting, and reduced visibility on roadways.
