Not for me. Too opaque to understand and feel anything about anything that happened. At least it had some cool visuals. I feel bad because the director was in attendance and was super excited to show us this but I really just couldn’t feel anything at all during this.

100 Liters Of Gold
Balances the highs and lows really well, with a structure that never lets you feel like it’s done until the credits rolls. a sub 90 minute dark comedy, it keeps the laughs and groans going, with a great sense of awkward tension.

Hunchback by Saou Ichikawa
Unapologetic in its anger and frustrations as being darkly funny and surprisingly horny. really liked this one. Ending was a headscratcher at first but when I let it sink in, it was fascinating and sickening.

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
Completely forgot to put this in the media thread. Holy shit. Fully engrossing in its weird, hilariously sad and sadly hilarious vision. Mind blowing stuff right here, even for Vonnegut, who’s one of the best writers.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
Needed WAY more Mario Galaxy stuff, but I am not immune to enjoying “IP Slop”, because no matter how much I grow tired of References in place of Story, I can’t lie that whenever I spotted something Galaxy related I did get excited.

Dog Star Man (rewatch)
It’s hard to describe something like Dog Star Man but I’ve always seen it and a snapshot of fragments and blurry moments of life. Just outstanding. Seeing this blown up on the big screen was unbelievable, there’s nothing quite like it.

The Muppets (Rewatch)
