Well...that's for sure! Winter came early and hard to Maine and hasn't really let up other than the sporadic warming day.

We're in that part of winter, again early, when you look at the thermometer when you get up, see it's up to 8º, and feel relieved.

A (mostly) snow-covered Fiedler Field on the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Esplanade, looking W/NW, containing leafless trees and several Shurcliff-style benches.

It contains a sculptured head of Arthur Fiedler, a long-time conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra. The aluminum sculpture is made of 83 plates and stands approximately 6.5 ft. tall.

The frozen watersheet of an impounded Quinobequin River (also known as Charlea River), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus, and Kendall Square, Cambridge, are in the distance. There is a plume of steam emitting from Vicinity’s Kendall Cogeneration Plant into an otherwise azure-blue sky.

I've been lured into this false warm December; when the cold comes I may cry...but I do want snow... #conflicted #wintah
