Flashes #UptonWarren #WorcsBirding 21 Nov 25, early lunchtime. Water mostly iced over. Highlights: Buzzard (chased and predated a Magpie on the field opposite the hide), Goldfinch, Goldcrest, Redwing x 5, Male Stonechat. 10+ Little Egrets and one Great White Egret on the boating lake.

An increase in LBB Gulls at Throckmorton has included birds from Iceland, Norway and the Netherlands however the standout highlight was a bird I ringed on Bardsey this summer!! My first recovery of a Gull I actually ringed and the first Bardsey bird to the West Mids! #worcsbirding

The Knot was briefly at #uptonwarren Flashes again this am, being chased by 2 Peregrines and, though appearing to evade them, was not seen thereafter! GWE, 5 Snipe, 5 Curlew, 2 Wigeon, 2 Pochard, 2 Shelduck, 2prs of Stonechat, c50 Fieldfare were seen across the reserve. #WorcsBirding #ukbirding

Flashes this afternoon #uptonwarren was quiet. Little different to @andypitt.bsky.social 's report earlier, increase in Teal to 114 the only positive change. However, a Merlin south over the pool just before 5pm saved the afternoon from my point of view #worcsbirding
