Male lead's/love interest's eyes changing back because he's feeling attraction to the protagonist. Male lead snaps back to answer protagonist's questions before biting into his sandwich and listening to what she submitted to chapbook publisher.
Male lead/love interest smirks at protagonist for daydreaming as usual. The protagonist is measuring her former teacher's physical dimensions while also feeling embarrassed for finding him attractive. He is letting her know how happy he is they can meet up again. Protagonist is still wondering if this is how her former Math teacher got his classes into a subject a lot of them disliked while also telling him he's charming. He tells her he's been told often, but he is also pleasantly surprised that she is charmed by him. He then asks what she is ordering for him.
The protagonist pointing to her chin as her brain is *short-circuiting* at how cute she finds her former high school teacher. Male lead is chuckling because apparently, his body's ability to grow facial hair so quickly is a source of amusement to some of his extended family members. Protagonist is so busy with her whimsical thinking that she barely hears her teacher complimenting her.
The owner just brought their sandwiches and giving a thumbs-up as a good luck to the protagonist with her good looking teacher. The protagonist is telling the male lead that the owner's club sandwiches are the best but her favorite is the chipotle, bacon, and feta. Also, the fried chicken, pepperjack, and BBQ. Meanwhile, male lead is just gazing at her, thinking how pretty she is and if she's aware of being attractive to him. She is stuffing her mouth while telling him about being published, how the press house is changing its name, and how her mother has told her to show better manners.
