My son was born at 29 weeks, 6 days, and the experience prompted me to publish a book, WHAT WE DIDN'T EXPECT.
Then my daughter arrived at 28 weeks, 6 days. My son wants me to revise the book now :)

Born at 27 weeks + 4 days, weighing 1lb9oz and 2lbs, our former micropreemies have always fought like hell to stay in this world with us.

Eve was born on 26.11.08 weighing 695g.
We were told it was unlikely she'd survive.
Eve's just successfully gained 7 As at her Nat5s and is now studying hard for Highers. She's the most amazing Eve ever.
In Jan 23 my little boy came 3 months early at 28 weeks, weighing just 830g! He came home in April on oxygen.
Now a feisty toddler & although his start was tough, he’s making up for it now 💜

It’s #WorldPrematurityDay2024 which means a lot to me as the mother of a girl born at 30 weeks, who weighed 1kg & spent 7 weeks in hospital. Almost 4 years on I still get triggered & think in terms of corrected age. So my thoughts go to the parents & babies in the neonatal ward today
