Sapele door with adze effect panel (textured), door has a 24” diameter Yellow Cedar medallion set into the upper portion of the panel, there is some artwork carved into the panel (stylized tree, wave & birds) that has then been filled with Black Epoxy for a high contrast image. All wood is in its natural state with no finish applied.
Sapele door with adze effect panel (textured), door has a 24” diameter Yellow Cedar medallion set into the upper portion of the panel, there is some artwork carved into the panel (stylized tree, wave & birds) that has then been filled with Black Epoxy for a high contrast image. All wood has now been coated with a clear impregnator bringing all the contrasting wood grain alive with varied colours & tones.
Adze panel medallion door has made its way down to the finish shop and as I expected the finish is going to bring this door to life.
1st coat of the process is the “impregnator” to help minimize possible mold growth and it already has the colours & contrast popping.
