Geriant sydd wedi dewis llyfr Cymraeg yr wythnos y tro hwn. "Dewais i yr addasiad hwn o'r Mabinogi gan ei fod yn straeon diwylliannol tragwyddol am Gymru sydd byth yn fynd yn hen!"

"Wales is one of the few nations to feature a mythical creature on its flag: Y Ddraig Goch 'The Red Dragon'. The Red Dragon first appears in a story entitled 'Lludd and Llefelys' in the Mabinogion. In this story the Red Dragon is constantly battling with a White Dragon, and their screams of rage and pain disturb the neighbourhood to the extent that crops fail and pregnant women miscarry. On the advice of the King of France, the British king Lludd digs a pit and fills it with mead. The battling beasts fall into the pit and end up consuming the mead, which puts them both into a drowsy stupor."
- from Legends & Folklore Wales
by Richard Holland (2015)
