Never say die.
One hell of a response from Anthony Edwards, Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert and Co.
Unbelievable effort on the defensive end in the 4Q from the Wolves, holding Murray and Jokic to 4 points on 2-12 FG. #ustrumpout
Nikola Jokic
Jaden McDaniels, deadpan delivery, on what worked for the Timberwolves offensively.
Jaden: “Go at Jokic, Jamal, all the bad defenders. Tim Hardaway, Cam Johnson, Aaron Gordon, their whole team.”
Q: They’re all bad defenders?
Jaden: “Yeah, they’re all bad defenders.”
Julius Randle w/ G2 praise for Rudy Gobert
"Shoutout to Big Ru, what he did tonight, it's not going to show up in the box-score. — Ant challenged him, beginning of the 4Q, he said, 'I need you to stop fouling.' How he guarded Jokic in the end was super inspiring to the team."
I have detailed it before, but it is insane how good of shape Rudy Gobert stays in. He is built like a chiseled stone statue, but his ability to never ever get tired on the court despite his size is so admirable.
He was cruising in that 4Q while Jokic looked very winded. Incredible defense there.
My guess is the idea with Gobert on the court, save the TO, go with Murray/Jokic P&R and play out of the coverage. Difference? Gobert *outright* switches, McDaniels sticks to Jokic. My guess is Murray wanted to go quick to save time, didn't make it, AG's reaction tells a story

Jokic is such a bitch
Also… I don’t ever want to hear about Jokic being ethical/not flopping ever again.
Rudy Gobert with the board and dunk over Jokic!
#NBASky #SkyHoops #NBAPlayoffs
I will remember how Rudy Gobert guarded Jokic better than anybody else
I’ve lost a ton of respect for Jokic during this one.
Also…
Jokic has officially joined “the Chris Paul List” as players whose greatness is fully eclipsed by punk-ass-ness
I shall not enjoy him anymore
good D from Rudy on Jokic, Donte grabs the loose ball and scores
Jokic vs Gobert
Jokic not coming through and it is making a big difference
Denver again looks to go Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic two man game. Look at the effort from Jaden McDaniels. Slides under and then fights over the screen so Gobert can stay back. Denver tries to flow into Murray screening for Jokic who rejects but no bucket.
Wolves get gritty. Rudy stops Jokic two or three straight plays and then Ragu snatches the offensive rebound out of his hands for a layup and a 3-point lead.
Wolves are +18 with Ragu on the court. Next best Timberwolf is +4
This Jokic stuff is so soft.
He's 300 pounds, but refs don't let you get physical with him while he elbows you, shoulders you, throws all his weight at you.
I have no issue with how physical Jokic is. He should use his physical gifts.
Just let defenders do the same.
SloMo can't shoot to save his life but besetting Jokic by fronting and then immediately morphing into double teaming the ball handler on a potential pick and roll with Jokic that leads to a steal and Bones layup; that's his sweet spot of skills
Finchy just gambled and won.
He sat Ant and Julius and Rudy (fouls) while the bench held their own versus Jokic.
When Jokic sits, Ant and Julius are coming for the kill shot.
Rudy should mirror Jokic the rest of the way.
Be warned, Jokic is on a flop fest and he’ll target Rudy with four fouls.
Finch asking Naz to guard Jokic on an island on 6 straight possessions as he gets going is absolute insanity.
That lefty hook from five feet out for Jokic to get 20 points was pure filth.
The absence of Gobert catching up now to the Wolves, who can't guard Jokic this quarter.
+2 with Jokic off for four minutes. The two Brown threes were huge
